The Diocesan Resource Center

Location and Hours of Operation

Hands working clay on a potter's wheel. The Resource Center is located on the first floor of the Diocesan Center at 4 East University Parkway in Baltimore and is typically staffed on Tuesdays from 9 to noon and Wednesdays from 11 to 4. Schedules sometimes change. If you would like staff help, please call or email the Resource Center Director, before making a special trip. The Resource Center may be accessed on a self-serve basis through Fran Brown, facilities coordinator, any time the Diocesan offices are open.

Materials are available in print, video, software and periodical formats. Materials are available for loan for a period of up to six weeks, so we can help you to develop and present a series or provide material for an entire liturgical season. We also have a number of catalogs on file to help you find new resources that meet your church's special needs.

About us

The Resource Center is overseen by the Christian Formation Council, a working group of laity and clergy who are spiritually committed to the vision of lifelong Christian formation in the Diocese of Maryland. The CFC accomplishes this mission by:

We focus our efforts in four main areas: Faith formation in the home, adult education formation, Bible study & storytelling and leadership development.

Hands working clay on a potter's wheel. The resource center was developed in accordance with the Diocesan directions on Christian Education and sharing resources. Our mission is to “…develop manage and share resources to extend the Kingdom of God among all people, and to support & encourage local congregations to be centers of learning for people of all ages.

We are committed to helping all people in the lifelong journey of Christian formation; however, we reserve the right to give preference in the loan of materials and equipment to individuals and congregations of the Diocese of Maryland.
